A brief history of Accurate Controls...
- Formally incorporated in 1942.
- 1950's Manufacture of instruments started at the original Works based in Kingston upon Thames by the founders Ken and John Reid.
- Circa 1960, manufacture relocated to Sunbury upon Thames.
- 1965 new temperature controllers, models C102 and A131, designed and in mass production.
- 1966 Bellows Heater Winding Temperature simulation introduced.
- 1968 Commencement of detailed Data Base providing for full retention of build details of all instruments manufactured and installed -allowing for replacement and recertification.
- November 1968, Accurate temperature controller Model C102 is approved by the CEGB to BEBS T2
- 1976 Wire wound potentiometers introduced giving remote indication and repeater capability.
- 1977 Micro-switch models A270 and A270's introduced.
- 1990 Relocation of manufacturing facility to Poole , Dorset.
- 1992 Accurate's machining facility upgraded to offer a full CNC sub-contract machining service.
- 1993, Low cost micro-switch instrument, model A200 introduced as an Oil Temperature Indicator.
- 1994 Accurate's quality system approved to BS5750.
- 1994 Non-contact, corrosion resistant remote indication system using LVDT's introduced for models C102 and A131.
- 1995 Micro-switch model A275 with LVDT introduced.
- 1995 Accurate introduces a Service Department for the installation, commissioning and servicing of transformer protection equipment.
- 1998 Pumps and Fans Monitor (Model PFM) type registered by National Grid.
- 1999 Accurate's quality system is approved to ISO9001: 1994.
- 1999 Appointed as UK distributor for a major supplier of fibre optic instrumentation.
- 2003 Accurate's quality system is approved to ISO9001: 2000.
- 2004 Accurate appointed UK distributor for the Smartec range of Distributed Fibre Optic measuring systems.
- 2005 Accurate appointed European Distributor of Opsens Fibre Optic based signal conditioners and sensor packages.
- 2010 Accurate's quality system is approved to ISO9001: 2008.
