Technical Specification

Description:

The A910 dry block temperature calibrator is an easy-to-use, portable, precision calibration instrument specifically for the calibration of "fluid filled" temperature controllers as used by the oil filled transformer industry.
Developed for use with Accurate Controls range of instruments . Is suitable for calibration of other temperature controllers.
The A910 removes the inaccuracies associated with older dry block calibr a tor s due to insufficient heating elements whilst maintaining all of the functionality.
Full bulb length heating blocks ensure heating times are minimised.
Replaces older style, hot oil or water filled baths ensuring operator safety.
A lso provides fast, reliable temperature calibration of RTD's, thermocouples, thermo switches, plus other common temperature sensing devices.
A back-lit LCD display panel ensures readings are visible in high ambient light conditions.
Membrane-style push buttons with tactile feedback control all programmable functions.

Automatic Switch Testing :

The calibrator features a fully automatic switch test function. With a single press of a dedicated function key on the instrument's front panel, users can perform a switch test calibration and determine the closing and opening temperatures, plus calculate the hysteresis.

Auto Stepping :

Another dedicated function key is provided that allows the user to automatically change from one temperature to another. You may configure the calibrator to step from one temperature to another by configuring the number of steps, the time of each step and the temperature at each step.

Stability Indicator:

Each calibrator is equipped with a stability indicator. Using the push buttons, the user selects the desired temperature. The "SET" temperature is displayed and the actual temperature is also displayed as the calibrator heats/cools to the desired "SET" temperature. Once this temperature is reached and is stable, the instrument provides the user with an audible and visual indication of when the calibrator has reached the "SET" temperature and is stable

Simplified Set-up and Operation:

An easy-to-follow menu structure guides the user through set-up, operation and maintenance routines allowing the following :
select the temperature display resolution, define the time requirements for a "stable" indication, select units of measure (°F or °C), set slope rates from 0.1 to 9.9° per minute define the maximum allowable temperature to protect fragile sensors.
A menu is also provided for service. Users may adjust the keypad and obtain instrument information, e.g. software revision level, serial number and last calibration date.

Simulation and Training:

The Model A910 also includes a simulator capability that simulates and tests all functions at a fraction of the time and with the heating block disabled. This is also an excellent way to train your calibration staff.
